Man dies after single-vehicle crash at Colo

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Sydney's north-west.

Just before 6.30pm on Thursday 15 February 2024, emergency services were called to the Putty Road at Colo, following reports of a vehicle crashing into a tree.

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command arrived to find the vehicle engulfed in flames. The fire was extinguished by officers from Fire and Rescue NSW.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances of the crash was commenced.

The driver is yet to be formally identified, however believed to be man.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

Putty Road will remain closed in both directions on the Putty Road.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area or delay their trip as there are no suitable diversions.
