Man injured by truck in Penrith

A man has been taken to hospital after a truck drove over his legs in Penrith last night.

About 11:20 (Friday 1 March 2019), emergency services were called to a petrol station on Coreen Avenue, Penrith after reports a man had been injured by a truck.

Police were told a 21-year-old man, who was lying in the driveway of the petrol station, was injured after a truck drove over him.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for crush injures to the lower legs and was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

The female truck driver is assisting police with inquiries.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command attended and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
