Man missing from Blue Mountains

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Blue Mountains.

Michael Morrell, aged 47, was last seen about 1pm yesterday (Wednesday 22 March 2023) at a shopping centre on Parke Street in Katoomba.

When he could not be located, officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family have concerns for his welfare as he lives with a medical condition and is non-verbal.

Michael is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of slim build, with short dark hair and a scruffy dark beard.

He was last seen wearing a blue jumper and blue pants with black shoes carrying a red shopping bag.

Inquiries suggest Michael has travelled via train to Parramatta before boarding a bus to Sydney. He is known to frequent Katoomba, The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Coogee and Marrickville.
