Homegrown artist Marty Zambotto, also known as Go-Jo, is getting set to 'shake and make the whole world dance' as he takes to the stage in the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest.
The Manjimup local is representing Australia, performing his hit song Milkshake Manthis week in Basel, Switzerland.
Go-Jo's performance marks the second time a Western Australian act has been chosen to represent Australia in recent years, building on the strong performance of Perth's Voyager, who placed in the Top 10 at the 2023 Grand Final.
The Cook Government is supporting Go-Jo's appearance through a $50,000 2024-25 Arts Strategic Initiatives grant, recognising this performance is an important opportunity to showcase WA's creativity and cultural identity on one of the world's largest stages.
Go-Jo joins a growing list of WA acts who are showcasing the State's reputation as a vibrant, creative powerhouse.
The 2025 contest will be the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, marking Australia's ninth entry into the contest.
Known for his vibrant pop-style performance and significant social media presence, Go-Jo's performances have garnered over 60 million digital streams and more than 1 billion views to date.
As stated by Creative Industries Minister Simone McGurk:
