Australia's longest running eating, drinking and culinary tourism festival Tasting Australia will return in 2024 from Friday 3 May to Sunday 12 May.
This year's event attracted record breaking crowds, with more than 68,000 people visiting the CBD hub Town Square in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga across the 10-day festival.
Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison said Tasting Australia generates significant opportunities for the local industry.
"Tasting Australia showcases South Australia as a true international culinary hotspot, bringing together top chefs, drinks makers and industry leaders from all around the globe, exposing them to the state's incredible produce working alongside our amazing local talent," Minister Bettison said.
"This year's Tasting Australia saw more than 150 events across all 12 regions of the state - this event is a wonderful driver of visitation to our regions, showcasing to visitors and locals alike the very best that South Australia has to offer. I look forward to seeing what is to come for the 2024 edition next autumn."
The event is a cornerstone of the state's culinary story says co-Festival Director Karena Armstrong.
"Tasting Australia is a very special showcase of South Australia's food and beverage - it tells the stories of our produce, producers and regions to people from around the world," Ms Armstrong said.
"The festival program is designed to create lasting memories through food and beverage experiences - once off moments that are unique to Tasting Australia. The creative team and I are so thrilled to see the growth of the event each year with more and more people getting involved and experiencing what Tasting Australia has to offer.
"Planning for 2024 is well underway and we can't wait to share what exciting and delicious new events we have in store."
Established in 1997, Tasting Australia is the country's longest running eating and drinking festival. The 2023 edition ran from 28 April - 7 May and supported more than 250 local businesses through the event.
