Detectives from Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance to help locate Masi Ayiik.
The 29-year-old is wanted for questioning in relation to a serious assault in Dandenong about 4pm on 16 July.
Ayiik is known to frequent the Dandenong and Doveton areas.
Investigators have released images of Ayiik in the hope that someone may have information on his current whereabouts.
He is perceived to be African in appearance, about 180cm tall, with a slim build and bald.
