Mayor welcomes next steps on sports precinct

Orange Council

Orange Mayor Jason has welcomed today's State Government announcement that the next stage of construction will soon commence on the long-awaited state funded $59.5 million Orange Sports Complex.

Following a collaborative design review between Orange City Council and the State Government, the project will proceed in stages to ensure it is delivered on budget and in the best interests of the community.

The first stage to be delivered by the Council will be comprised of eight multi-purpose playing fields.

Orange City Council Mayor Jason Hamling welcomed the announcement.

"This has been one of my key commitments to the people of Orange and I will continue to work with the NSW Government to see this through."
