The McGowan Government is supporting the Commonwealth Government's efforts to evacuate people from Afghanistan.
95 Afghan nationals and four Australian citizens have so far been evacuated and are being accommodated within WA's State-managed quarantine hotels.
The State Government is working with its community sector partners to support evacuees from Afghanistan who have recently arrived in Perth.

As stated by Citizenship and Multicultural Interests Minister Tony Buti:
"As the world watches the unfolding situation in Afghanistan, our thoughts are with the Afghan communities here in Western Australia and especially with those who have families and loved ones affected by this humanitarian crisis.
"Afghan communities hold a special place in the history of Western Australia, having played a key role in opening up the interior of this State, providing a lifeline for the transport of vital goods and supplies to inland communities.
"Western Australia's Afghan communities are an integral part of our culturally and linguistically diverse society, and are making notable contributions to our development, progress, workforce and culture.
"I assure Afghan communities of Western Australia that we stand united with you and the people of Afghanistan at this time of crisis."
As stated by Community Services Minister Simone McGurk:
"The Western Australian community stands ready to assist evacuees from Afghanistan in this time of great need.
"As part of its welfare response role, staff from the Department of Communities will provide support to evacuees from Afghanistan while they are in hotel quarantine and as they complete their period of isolation.
"The compassion and generosity of Western Australians continue to be demonstrated in response to this crisis and I encourage anyone wanting to help to consider making a donation to the Red Cross."
