Minister, Commissioner and Premier visit flood-affected Forbes

NSW SES

This morning, our Minister for Police and Emergency Services David Elliot and NSW SES Commissioner Carlene York, joined by the Premier, have been taking a look at the flood-affected areas in Forbes and Lachlan River region.

Our Minister, Commissioner and the Premier thanked all the volunteers involved for the work they are doing in keeping this community safe during this difficult time.

Flood warnings are still current for the area and further watches and flood warnings are likely to be issued later this week.

For people living or travelling to the impacted flood locations, we ask if you come across a flooded road, simply stop and turn back. Flooding can erode road and path surfaces leaving potholes, sinkholes and other dangers. Never drive, ride or walk-through floodwater.
