Minor change to footpath repair schedule

Under our Road Management Plan, we operate a year-round, proactive program of maintenance works to rectify minor defects to footpaths and kerbs across the city.

Unfortunately, due to supply chain issues resulting in limited access to asphalt to repair minor defects, together with a temporary shortage of staff to complete the works, we have been forced to pause the program for a short time.

The kerb and footpaths affected by the pause in operations are adjacent to:

  • Alexandra Avenue, South Yarra
  • Chapel Street, Prahran
  • Toorak Road, Toorak
  • Malvern Road, Toorak
  • High Street, Armadale

The service will resume as soon as possible and we expect the regular Road Management Plan minor defects service will be back in full operation by February 2023.

The Road Management Plan minor defects service proactively inspects and repairs footpaths and kerbs, where the defect to the footpath or kerb is less than 25mm in height.

Defects and/or damage greater than 25mm in height are repaired as a priority and are not affected by this pause in operations.

If you wish to report damage to a footpath or kerb please don't hesitate to contact us on 8290 1333.

We apologise for this unavoidable pause to our proactive maintenance service and thank you for your understanding.
