Missing pregnant woman in Randwick

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a heavily pregnant woman who went missing from a hospital at Randwick on Monday, NSW Police say.

Raquel Akers, 34, was a patient at the Royal Women’s Hospital’s anti-natal ward but left the building about 3pm on Monday afternoon yesterday.

There are grave concerns for the welfare of the unborn child, as well as the welfare of Ms Akers.

Police are now asking the public to keep a lookout for Ms Akers and contact them immediately if they see her.

She is possibly heading to the Maitland area or interstate.

Ms Akers is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160-165cm tall, with a slim build, blonde hair and is missing a number of teeth

Anyone who sees her should contact Triple Zero. Anyone who knows her whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers.
