The Moggill Road Corridor Upgrade is keeping western Brisbane moving one year after completion, with travel times improving by about 20 per cent across that section of the corridor.
The upgrade replaced the former Indooroopilly Roundabout with a new overpass improving safety at one of Brisbane's worst suburban chokepoints.
More than 40 crashes were recorded at the former Moggill Road and Coonan Street roundabout between 2013 and 2020.
This included 13 crashes resulting in hospitalisations and 22 requiring medical treatment.
The Moggill Road and Coonan Street intersection carries around 55,000 vehicles a day, making the corridor one of Brisbane's busiest suburban road links.
The upgrade also included a new shared path for pedestrians and cyclists, improving safety and connectivity for all road users.
The corridor supports more than 3,500 bus services each week, helping residents get around Brisbane sooner and safer.
The Moggill Road Corridor Upgrade was jointly funded by the Australian Government and Brisbane City Council.
