Motorcyclist dies in crash at Wyong

A motorcyclist has died in a crash on the Central Coast today.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Amy Close and the Pacific Highway, Wyong, just before 10am after a motorcycle and Toyota Corolla collided.

The motorcyclist – a 52-year-old woman – was treated on scene before being taken to John Hunter Hospital.

However, she died on the way.

The female driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Wyong Hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police Area Command and the Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report be will be prepared for the Coroner.
