Motorcyclists Charged in Campbelltown Street Race

Two motorcycle riders have been charged after allegedly being caught street racing in Sydney's south west overnight.

Just after 1.15am (Saturday 18 April 2026), officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol were conducting speed enforcement duties on the Hume Motorway at Blair Athol, when they detected two motorcycles travelling south side by side at speeds of between 204km/h and 197 km/h in a signposted 100km/h zone.

Officers intercepted both motorcycles, stopping them shortly after.

Both riders – a 26-year-old man and a 23-year-old female with a P2 riders' licence - were issued court attendance notices for organise, promote race between vehicles, exceed speed more than 45km and riding at a speed dangerous to the public.

Their licences were also suspended and the registration plates seized.

The pair will appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday 19 May 2026.
