Mr Martin Dole Promoted to Deputy Commissioner, NT Police

Northern Territory Police Force is proud to announce the promotion of Mr Martin Dole to the esteemed position of Deputy Commissioner. Mr Dole's appointment highlights his exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, and exemplary service throughout his distinguished 27-year career with the force.

Mr Dole commenced his journey with the Northern Territory Police Force in 1997, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. Over the years, he has served in various locations, including Alice Springs, Yuendumu, Ti Tree, and Darwin, showcasing his adaptability and resilience in diverse operational environments.

With over 17 years of experience in investigative roles, Mr Dole has contributed significantly to the force's investigative capabilities. His tenure includes service in specialised units such as the Crime Intelligence Bureau, Regional Investigations, Sexual Crime Unit, Major Crime Unit, Special Operations Section, Drug Enforcement Unit, Criminal Investigation Development Unit, Darwin Major Crash Investigations, Serious Crime, and Special References Unit.

Deputy Commissioner Dole is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy, which included a 10 week residential program in Quantico in 2017, which has continued strong relationships with law enforcement around the world.

Mr Dole's expertise and integrity have been instrumental in resolving numerous high-profile cases, reflecting his unwavering commitment to advancing the mission of the Northern Territory Police.

In recognition of his exemplary service and leadership, Mr Dole was appointed to the position of Assistant Commissioner, Regional and Remote Operations, effective December 2, 2021.

His promotion to Deputy Commissioner signifies the trust and confidence placed in his abilities to guide the strategic direction of the force and uphold its commitment to safeguarding the community.

Commissioner Michael Murphy APM welcomed Deputy Commissioner Dole's appointment to the position and expressed his confidence in Mr Dole's ability to future proof the police force, care for all our employees and deliver excellence.
