Mum Hits $2.5 Million Jackpot in Saturday Lotto

A Yarrawonga mother, who had always hoped to win the TattsLotto and reward her mother for her countless hours of babysitting, has seen her dream come true. She has won a whopping $2.5 million in the recent TattsLotto draw.

The elated Victorian was one of two division one winners in the TattsLotto draw 4407, held on Saturday, 14 October 2023. She has secured a total prize money of $2,584,157.77, half of the $5.2 million entire division one prize pool.

2023 has proven to be a lucky year for the Goulburn Valley region, with four division one wins amounting to a collective prize money of over $6.89 million.

The overjoyed winner recalled her morning, saying she noticed numerous missed calls while dropping her kids off at school.

“All I could think about was the ticket while I was driving them to school. I thought to myself, 'Holy s***! I think I’ve won something big!’.”

On returning home, she checked her ticket and woke her husband up in her excitement. Their celebration plans included her mother, who was on her way with champagne to toast the big win.

The winner shared an endearing backstory of the winning ticket, which dates back to when her children were young. The numbers were drawn from a hat. She expressed her gratitude towards her mother, who used to babysit her children.

She had always promised, “Mum, I’ve got a recurring TattsLotto ticket on, and when we win, I’ll pay you back!”.

When quizzed about her future plans as a multi-millionaire, she promptly mentioned paying off her mortgage and sharing the prize money with her mother.

“Then we will go from there!” she added.

The winning 15-game entry was procured online from thelott.com, the official lotteries website.

The winning numbers for the TattsLotto draw 4407 on 14 October 2023 were 38, 7, 23, 10, 24, and 11, with the supplementary numbers being 4 and 14.

This particular TattsLotto draw saw two division one winning entries from across Australia, one each from Victoria and Queensland.
