The free MyStonnington app launched in November 2022 and is all about making your life easier.
Stonnington resident Beverley came along to a community forum at Toorak/South Yarra Library in October 2022 where she expressed her interest in an app that could notify residents about bin collection days.
She's now one of the many who have downloaded MyStonnington and is putting it to good use. We caught up with Beverley to understand how it's helping to make her life better.
"As soon as Council notified me the MyStonnington app had launched I downloaded it immediately. It's so simple to set up, you just enter your address, enable notifications and away you go," said Beverley.
"Once you're in, it's extremely user-friendly and the functionality is exactly what I'd hoped for. I would often miss bin days but now I get a prompt letting me know which bin goes out when.
"It also helps clarify what can go in each bin, which can be confusing at times. And I'm delighted that it will alert me to upcoming hard waste collection dates; they take place twice a year and are easy to miss.
"It's been a game changer for me, I can't recommend it highly enough," she said.
