NASA to Brief Status of Artemis I Moon Mission Today

Following Hurricane Nicole making landfall in Florida earlier this week, NASA will host a media teleconference at 3 p.m. EST today, Friday, Nov. 11, on the status of its Artemis I mega Moon rocket and spacecraft on the launch pad at the agencys Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Jim Free, associate administrator for Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington, will lead the discussion.

Artemis I is the first integrated flight test of NASAs Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, an uncrewed Orion spacecraft, and the ground systems at Kennedy that will pave the way for a crewed test flight and future human lunar exploration as part of Artemis.
