National Youth Championships for Boys day three weather update

Persistent rain at C.eX International Stadium has caused delays to tournament fixturing.

The grass pitches on Fields 1 and 2 at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium have been ruled unplayable due to continuing heavy rain.

Play was delayed during Wednesday's 2:25pm matches and a decision made by tournament managers to move the remaining day three matches, from Fields 1 and 2 to synthetic pitches.

Delays have had a knock-on effect to the tournament schedule and new fixturing, for Fields 1 and 2, have been released by Football Australia.

Some remaining matches scheduled on Fields 1, 2 and 4 will be moved to tomorrow Thursday 29 September. This is to ensure adequate player recovery.

A decision on tomorrow's fixturing will be made and communicated to team officials this evening.

Fixturing for Fields 3 and 4 have been slightly delayed as the impacts have been less severe and the pitches remain playable.

Football Australia has consulted with impacted team's management and decisions have been made with tournament fairness in mind.

Tournament manager Ramsey Vane-Wood said "Football Australia has consulted with several team stakeholders to get fixturing decisions right. We listened to feedback, and this has been factored into decision making."
