NATO air forces conduct joint flight training over Bulgaria

Joint training "Thracian Viper" is underway over Bulgarian airspace, with jets from Bulgaria, Canada, Greece, Romania, and the United States improving their ability to work together on operations.

Planes are operating from Bulgarian, Greek, and Romanian territory for this Bulgarian-led activity, with F-16, F-18, MiG-29, and Su-25 aircraft taking part, as well as AS-532 Cougar helicopters. "Thracian Viper" has taken place annually since 2010, providing a good opportunity for Allied air forces to hone their skills in a multinational environment.
