Bayside Council has engaged with local artist, Lydia Morgan to deliver an exciting new mural on King Lane, Rockdale that will celebrate the vibrant Bayside community.
Work on the mural, delayed by the recent wet weather, has now started.
Lydia Morgan is a Sydney based illustrator, artist and muralist. Her work is inspired by plants, fruit, coffee and people. She has done many public murals across Sydney such as at UNSW, Liverpool Civic Place, and Boronia Park.
Bayside is home to a thriving arts and culture scene and Council's cultural programs are designed to activate public space, increase access to the arts, and support practicing artists.
Bayside Council is working towards establishing meaningful relationships with community partners to evolve the creative arts sector to help enhance the life of all who live and work in our community.
