New community centre opens in fast-growing Flagstone
A new community centre in Flagstone is now open to the public, with community service provider Beaucare signed on as operator.
The $8 million centre, completed by Logan City Council in early 2026, features meeting spaces and multipurpose rooms where locals can access services and activities.
The centre was planned to meet the demands of the fast-growing Greater Flagstone area, which is expected to reach a population of 138,000 when fully developed.
Located at 51 Parkland Drive, the centre is open from 9am-4pm Monday to Friday.

Helping to lift the lid on life's final chapter
Experts in key services will be brought together for an end-of-life information session at Beenleigh later this month.
Run by Logan Libraries, the free session and a services hub will be held from 10am to 11.30am on Wednesday, June 24 at Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre, 10-12 James St, Beenleigh.
The session and hub stalls will provide participants with information on how to access care and support, financial and legal advice, advance care planning and spiritual support.
It is being presented in partnership with Services Australia, ADA Australia, Advance Care Planning Services, Carer Gateway, Mater at Home, Metro South Voluntary Assisted Dying Service, Palliative Care Queensland and end-of-life doulas servicing the Logan area.
Bookings are required and can be made via loglib.org/eol
Next step for Logan Indoor Sports Centre
Site investigations for the future nine-court Logan Indoor Sports Centre in Logan Central will begin from early June and may continue for a few weeks.
Activity at the Democracy Way site will include bore hole drilling, digging shallow test pits, and soil sampling as part of the project's design phase.
Any temporary impacts to parking and access during that time will be communicated to nearby residents and visitors to the civic precinct.
The Logan Indoor Sports Centre will be delivered by the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA).
It is part of the $7.1 billion Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Venues Infrastructure Program jointly funded by the Australian Government and Queensland Government.
