Explore artistic mortality at workshop
Local residents can explore mortality through creativity and self-expression at an upcoming workshop at the Logan Art Gallery.
The workshop, Decoding the art of death, will be led by local funerary historian Dr Hilda Maclean on Thursday, February 19.
Dr Maclean will guide attendees from the middle ages to the present day, exploring how artists have used art and sculpture to make sense of mortality and death.
Her presentation will cover the creative and surprising ways humans have represented the end of life to find meaning, comfort and even hope.
Entry is free. Bookings are essential and can be made via lccqld.com/decoding-the-art-of-death
