Nollamara shop fire

Arson Squad detectives are investigating a fire at a shopping centre located on Hillsborough Drive in Nollamara that occurred during the early hours of Saturday, 10 December 2022.

Between midnight and 1am, offenders went to the rear of the shopping centre before smashing a window to a butcher shop. They poured an accelerant into the store before setting it alight. The fire spread to neighbouring buildings.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended and extinguished the fire. The fire caused an estimated $250,000 damage.

Arson Squad detectives are investigating whether this fire is linked to any other fires at shopping centres this year.

Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
