Hawkesbury City Mayor Patrick Conolly said there are plenty of unsung heroes in our City that deserve to be acknowledged.

"The Hawkesbury has experienced three challenging years with bushfires, floods and COVID. During that time, countless people stepped up to help their City, their communities and their neighbours," Mayor Conolly said.

"These local heroes come from all walks of life, with many and varied skills and passions, and serve in both official and unofficial capacities. They are students, retirees, business owners, professionals, volunteers, parents and neighbours.

"Our local sporting heroes have also faced their share of challenges. They've had to endure the constant cancellation of their competitions and training yet have come through and continue to do our City proud.

"When times are tough, our community rallies. Now is the time to recognise these wonderful people for all their hard work."
