- 2025 Western Australian Heritage Awards to celebrate those preserving WA's history
- Seven award categories recognise volunteers, professionals, owners and organisations protecting our heritage

The Western Australian Heritage Awards return this year for the 33rd year, celebrating the people and projects that keep the stories of the State's past alive.
The awards honour outstanding contributions to the conservation, interpretation and promotion of heritage across the State - from adaptive reuse of historic buildings to innovative heritage tourism experiences.
This year, seven categories are open for nomination including:
- Voluntary Individual Contribution;
- Professional Contribution;
- Contribution by an Organisation;
- Interpretation Project;
- Heritage Tourism;
- Conservation or Adaptive Reuse of a Local Heritage Place; and
- Conservation or Adaptive Reuse of a State Registered Place.
The Local Heritage Place category, introduced in 2024, recognises outstanding work on places of local heritage significance.
Last year's joint winners, Tomich House and the Exchange Hotel in Pinjarra, exemplified the value of preserving places that shape community identity.

As stated by Heritage Minister Simone McGurk:
"Western Australia's heritage places are rich with stories, culture and identity that deserve to be celebrated and shared with all Western Australians.
"These awards are an important way to recognise the efforts of those individuals and groups who passionately protect and promote our State's cultural heritage.
"Our State has a remarkable heritage legacy - from historic homesteads and public buildings to landscapes and places of architectural significance.
"A growing focus on adaptive reuse means treasured places can continue to evolve and be enjoyed by future generations.
"I encourage everyone to consider nominating a heritage hero for this year's Heritage Council's prestigious WA Heritage Awards."
