The "Nordic Summer School" is an online, one-week programme introducing Master and PhD students to Nordic society, politics and economy, from April 19-23.

It is a collaboration between the Jean Monnet Module on "Understanding European Integration through the Regional Lens", the Nordic in Centre India, Centre for European Studies and School of International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University.

The objective is to introduce Nordic themes to young researchers in India, and to deepen and sustain their interests in the region. Two researchers from the UiO:Nordic research group "Nordic Civil Societies" are contributing to the programme.

  • Associate Professor Sunniva Engh will deliver a lecture on historical perspectives on the Nordic Model.
  • Professor Haldor Byrkjeflot will discuss civil society in the Nordics.
