Rain and thunderstorms have continued to bring heavy falls to parts of WA, NT and much of Queensland over the last few days and that's likely to continue for much of the coming week. Further south it will be a warm to hot week but, sadly for many it will be another dry one.
Sunday will see showers and thunderstorms across much of northern Australia with heavy falls possible in Queensland with showers also about eastern New South Wales. Dry warm to hot and sunny weather will continue across much of southern and south-eastern Australia.
Monday will see heat build across south-eastern Australia ahead of a trough, while it will be cooler in south-west WA with a possible light coastal shower. Rain and thunderstorms will continue across northern Australia with showers about the New South Wales coast.
Tuesday will see rain and thunderstorms continue across northern Australia with heavy falls possible. While in the south-east a cold front will bring a hot and windy day before a band of showers and thunderstorms sweep through, but only light falls are expected if any.
Wednesday will see showers and thunderstorms continue to impact much of northern Australia as well as inland New South Wales with a trough, while it will be dry and cooler across the south, hotter inland.
High pressure will dominate southern Australia on Thursday with dry warm to hot and sunny weather while, you guessed it, showers and thunderstorms will continue across northern Australia.
Friday will continue the trend of showers and thunderstorms across northern Australia with high pressure bringing dry warm and sunny weather elsewhere, apart from a few showers and storms in New South Wales.
The weekend will see rain and storms continue across northern Australia with troughs bringing showers and isolated thunderstorms to WA and eastern New South Wales.
