North Fremantle robbery charges

Fremantle detectives have charged a 40-year-old man in relation to two incidents in North Fremantle on Wednesday 24 November 2022.

It will be alleged around 7:50am, the accused approached the victim – a woman in her 30s – and demanded she hand over her car keys. The accused left the scene on foot with the victim's property.

It will be further alleged around 7:52am, the accused approached another woman - demanding she hand over her car keys.

The woman, aged in her 20s, ran inside her nearby residence and locked the door.

The accused allegedly forced his way into the victim's home by kicking in her locked front door, before he snatched her car keys and ran from the area.

Approximately five minutes after the first incident, about 7.55am, police apprehended the accused in the vicinity.

He was arrested and conveyed to Fremantle Police Station where it is alleged that he smeared his faeces onto the walls of a holding room. He then removed his clothes and urinated on the floor.

A 40-year-old Beaconsfield man was charged with;

• Two counts of Robbery

• Aggravated Home Burglary.

• Criminal damage

• Disorderly in a police station

He appeared in Perth Magistrates Court today, was remanded in custody, and is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 6 December 2022.
