Northbridge Assault - Further Arrest, WA

On Thursday 25 May 2017, Perth Police charged a third person as a result of their investigation into an incident outside a hotel located on the corner of William and James Streets in Northbridge on Wednesday, 17 May 2017.

Around 10:40pm, police were called to several reports of a large group of people creating a disturbance outside the hotel. The incident started after two people were refused entry to the hotel. During the incident a group of people threatened the staff, spat at them and threw bins, bottles and bricks at the door staff. Three staff members were struck by items but were not seriously injured, WA Police say.

It is alleged a 14 year old boy from Esperance spat at door staff and threw a steel security bin at them.

He has been charged with:-

•Taking Part in an Unlawful Assembly;

•Common Assault;

•Stealing;

•Possess Cannabis; and

•Breach Bail Conditions.

He is due to appear before the Perth Children’s Court today, 26 May 2017.
