Road delays between Berridale & Gegedzerick Cemetery on 17 November

The memorial service for prominent community member Edwin Kraft is being held tomorrow, Friday 17 November 2023, with a large procession expected to travel along Kosciuszko Road from Berridale to Gegedzerick Cemetery between 11am and midday.

This procession may see upwards of several hundred vehicles travelling slowly together along Kosciuszko Road to the cemetery.

While the exact number of vehicles is not confirmed, road users should expect delays travelling on Kosciuszko Road during this time.

Please be mindful and respectful of the procession, and be alert for stopped traffic and slow-moving vehicles. Always drive to the conditions.

Residents and visitors travelling between Cooma and Jindabyne should consider detouring through Dalgety via Maffra Road, The Snowy River Way, and Barry Way to avoid potentially lengthy delays.

Council extends our deepest sympathies and condolences to Mr Kraft's family, friends and loved ones in their time of mourning.

We appreciate the patience, understanding and respectful conduct of motorists during this delay. Visit www.livetraffic.com to plan your trip and for up-to-date information on road conditions across NSW.
