NSW police appeal following single-vehicle crash near Narrabri

Police are appealing for information following a serious single-vehicle crash in the state's north west today.

About 5am (Saturday 19 January 2019), officers from Oxley Police District attended Cypress Way, Gwabegar, about 100km south west of Narrabri, after reports a man was seen laying on the roadway.

Police arrived to find a vehicle on the side of the road, with a 20-year-old man laying nearby.

An 18-year-old man was located further along the road, attempting to get assistance.

The older man was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition and the younger man was taken to Narrabri Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

A crime scene was established, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.
