NSW police seize cannabis worth almost $650,000

Police from Strike Force Zambesi have uncovered almost $650,000 worth of cannabis following a search warrant at a home in Sydney’s south-west yesterday.

Shortly before 1pm yesterday, strike force officers executed a search warrant at a home on Casula Road, Casula.

Police will allege the premise had undergone modifications in order to cultivate cannabis indoors.

During the search, officers located and seized 215 cannabis plants.

The estimated potential street value of the cannabis is $646,000.

Inquiries are continuing.

Strike Force Zambesi, comprising officers from South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squads, Wetherill Park and Bass Hill, was established to target the hydroponic cultivation of cannabis in the region.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
