NT COVID-19 case update

A 31 year old male who arrived on the repatriation flight from Paris on 17 December 2020 has tested positive for COVID-19. A 64 year old female who arrived on the repatriation flight from India on 15 December 2020 has also tested positive. They both remain under the care of the AUSMAT team at the NT Centre for National Resilience.

Since repatriation flights to the Northern Territory began on 23 October 2020:

  • 1828 international arrivals have undertaken quarantine at the NT Centre for National Resilience in Howard Springs
  • A total of 40 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported.

The total number of cases diagnosed in the Northern Territory is 74. All cases have been related to international or interstate travel, with no cases of community transmission.
