The Northern Territory has recorded one new case of COVID-19.

The case is a child in the Centre for National Resilience who is a known close contact from Katherine, taking the total number of cases to 101.

Today, 26 close contacts linked to the two positive COVID-19 cases identified in Yulara will be transferred to the Centre for National Resilience to undertake quarantine.

More than 2,500 COVID-19 tests were processed across the NT yesterday.

COVID-19 testing sites are open in Tennant Creek, Katherine, Alice Springs, Nhulunbuy and Darwin and testing is available at NT Health clinics in remote communities.
