NT parks and reserves reopened

Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture

NT parks and reserves that were closed over the weekend due to weather conditions will reopen from today, 31 August 2020.

Visitor safety is paramount. Territorians and visitors are reminded to always go online to check if a park is open before travelling, as park closures can occur at short notice dependant on emergency conditions.

To find out whether a park is open, go to https://nt.gov.au/leisure/parks-reserves/find-a-park/find-a-park-to-visit.

As noted by Chris Day, Senior Director, Parks and Wildlife

"Due to the easing of weather conditions, NT parks and reserves have reopened for Territorians and visitors to once again enjoy.

"We thank everyone for listening to the advice and abiding by closures. This is a good reminder to always go online to check if a park is open before you leave.

"If you're in the NT, make sure you get out to explore our beautiful destinations and support our tourism operators."
