A patched member of New Zealand's notorious Head Hunters outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) has been refused entry into Perth International Airport due to the risk he posed to the Australian community.
The 36 year old man arrived on a flight from Auckland on Friday, 4 October 2019, and was referred for a baggage examination and immigration clearance interview.
After confirmation of his membership of the Head Hunters OMCG the man was refused immigration clearance under s116(1)(e)(i) of the Migration Act 1958 on the basis that he presented a risk to the health, safety or good order of the Australian community, or a segment of the community.
He was detained and transferred to the Perth Immigration Detention Centre (PIDC) before being removed on a flight back to New Zealand last night (Sunday, 6 October 2019).
ABF Regional Commander for WA, Rod O'Donnell, said that any non-citizen involved with a criminal organisation, including outlaw motorcycle gangs, can expect to have their Australian visa cancelled on arrival and be removed from the country.
"The ABF maintains a strong focus on working with its law enforcement partners in disrupting the activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs in the ongoing fight to protect the Australian community" Commander O'Donnell said.
In April this year five international members and associates of the Gypsy Jokers OMCG from Germany, Norway and Spain were also refused entry to Australia by ABF officers at Perth Airport.
