Police can now name the man who died in a crash on State Highway 35 on Monday 19 December.
He was Herewini Reedy, aged 65, from Hicks Bay.
Police extend their sympathies to his whānau and loved ones.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
