Oakleigh Car Strike: Woman Succumbs to Injuries in Hospital

A 73-year-old woman has died in hospital after she was hit by a car in Oakleigh this week.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a silver Toyota Prado on Hanover Street on 4 May about 4.30pm.

The pedestrian, a Wheelers Hill woman, was taken to hospital however died on 5 May.

The driver of the Prado, a 62-year-old Murrumbeena man, was uninjured.

He is assisting police with their enquiries.
