Cricket Victoria has confirmed its Victoria Metro and Victoria Country squads for the upcoming Cricket Australia Under-19 Male National Championships, to be held in Brisbane from December 14-21.
The two 14-player squads feature a strong mix of emerging Victorian talent, including several players returning from last year's National Championships, where Victoria Metro reached the final against South Australia at the WACA Ground.
Victorian rookie-contracted player Aryan Sharma headlines the Metro squad, returning to the national stage after representing Australia at the 2026 Under-19 World Cup.
The squads also feature three players who recently represented Australia Under-19s in India, with Jack Czosnek and Jakey Pietz selected for Victoria Metro, while Patrick Sullivan will represent Victoria Country.
The National Championships provide another important opportunity for Victoria's emerging talent to test themselves against the country's best young cricketers, while continuing their development through Cricket Victoria's high-performance pathway.
Victoria Metro will be coached by former Victorian batter Travis Dean, supported by assistant coach Xavier Crone, while Victoria Country will be led by James Miller alongside assistant coach Nick Speak.
Cricket Victoria Male Talent Development Manager Tom Evans said the Championships represented an exciting opportunity for the next generation of Victorian cricketers.
"The National Championships are a fantastic opportunity for our players to test themselves against quality opposition and showcase their skills on the national stage," Evans said.
"These experiences are an important part of their development, challenging players to perform in a competitive environment while gaining a greater understanding of the standards and expectations of professional cricket.
"We're excited by the talent across both squads and look forward to seeing them embrace the opportunity to represent Victoria."
The Championships will take place in Brisbane, Queensland, from December 14-21.
