Obscene exposure charge after children approached - Epping

A man is due in court charged after he allegedly committed a sexual act in front of two children at Epping earlier today.

Police have been told the 13-year-old girl was on Pembroke Street about 12.40pm (Sunday 31 May 2020), when a man approached her allegedly exposing himself.

As the girl walked away and called police, the man then allegedly exposed himself to a 12-year-old boy in Smith Street.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command attended and arrested a 55-year-old man and took him to Ryde Police Station where he was charged with carry out sexual act with another without consent, and wilful and obscene exposure in/near a public place.

He has been refused bail and is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Monday 1 June 2020).
