October Business Month to inspire and engage local businesses

Territory businesses will be encouraged by the key messages Connect. Learn. Inspire. for October Business Month, with a program which has been revitalised with inspiring stories and keynote speakers.

Following a range of COVID disruptions and having to be delivered virtually in 2020 and 2021, the program has been reinvigorated this year, with access to advice and insights on leading edge business practices.

October Business Month (OBM) will continue to provide high quality content through events and workshops across the Top End, East Arnhem, Big Rivers, Barkly and Central Australia.

The program features high profile keynote speakers who will talk about leadership, resilience and overcoming adversity, including:

· Dr Richard 'Harry' Harris, 2019 Australian of the Year and key member of the 2018 Thailand Rescue Diving team

· Ita Buttrose AC, OBE, legendary media trailblazer, businesswomen and former Australian of the Year

· Dr Anika Molesworth, co-founding Director of Farmers for Climate Action and 2015 Young Farmer of the Year

· Dr Dan Pronk, co-author of The Resilience Shield and resident medic on Channel Seven's SAS Australia, and;

· Christian Boucousis, former Australian fighter pilot, successful businessman and entrepreneur
