ODEM Achieves Development Milestones on the Ethereum Mainnet

ODEM, creator of the world's first On-Demand Education Marketplace, is pleased to announce the achievement of several significant development milestones and achievements leading to full deployment of the ODEM Platform by early next year.

Among ODEM's latest technical accomplishments:

-- Successfully passed third-party auditing and testing of the DApp
(decentralized application).
-- Testing of the ODEM Cloud with mainnet smart contracts.
-- Authentication of educational certificates for viewing independent of
ODEM involvement.

Third-party auditing and testing of smart contracts provides evidence of the viability and security of the ODEM Platform, an education portal to help students overcome the challenges they face in getting a great education. Integration testing of the ODEM Cloud with the mainnet smart contracts is critical to ensuring the system is robust. Authentication of educational certificates for viewing outside of the platform establishes the successful interaction of the InterPlanetary Filing System and the Ethereum Blockchain.

"I'm encouraged by the progress we've made toward the creation of
indelible, portable and verifiable scholastic records on the
blockchain," Dr. Adel ElMessiry, ODEM's Chief Technology Mentor,
said ahead of the #SWITCH! (http://switchit.lt/en/ ) Conference in
Vilnius, Lithuania. "Certificate creation is a major step toward
offering and documenting academic programs on the ODEM Platform."

ODEM, based in Chiasso, Switzerland, is a global leader in addressing the hurdles that students encounter in gaining a higher education. The ODEM Platform is a collaborative, decentralized portal to empower students to engage with top academics to create exceptional educational experiences at a reasonable cost. Ongoing development of the ODEM Platform is focused on full deployment in early 2019.

#SWITCH! (http://switchit.lt/en/ ) is the largest non-profit networking conference in the Baltic States centered on entrepreneurship, information, communication and technology. More than 15,000 participants are expected at the conference for speeches and discussions focused on blockchain technology, initial coin offerings, artificial intelligence and cyber security.
