One man has been charged, and another man remains in custody, as part of an ongoing police investigation into a wounding at Glenorchy yesterday.
About 1.35pm, police responded to reports of an incident near a store on Howard Road.
Police will allege two men approached the rear of the store and stole an item.
An employee of the store approached the men and was subsequently assaulted.
The employee was transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital and received medical assistance for a small knife wound. He has since been released.
Police attended and conducted an investigation at the scene.
Overnight two men were taken into custody in relation to the matter.
A 28-year-old man has been charged with wounding, common assault, stealing, and drug and bail related offences. He was detained in custody to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
Another man remains in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
