On September 18-22, 2023 the Training Center of the State Financial Intelligence Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the support of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, successfully conducted the autumn camp to prepare the national team of the Kyrgyz Republic for the final of the International Olympiad on Financial Security, which will take place on October 2-6, 2023 in Sochi.
Throughout the week, young participants of the camp actively exchanged knowledge and experience, as well as conducted financial investigations using the training simulator "Grafus." Representatives of the financial intelligence unit of the Kyrgyz Republic led intensive practical seminars on the following topics:
- Analysis of international regulatory acts and instruments in the field of AML/CFT;
- International cooperation in conducting financial investigations;
- Examination of typologies related to AML/CFT.
Within the camp, situational games were also organized in which the participants could take on the role of an employee of an organization conducting initial financial monitoring. This allowed them to learn how to find and analyze data, create diagrams, and present their findings.
This camp has become a significant milestone in the preparation of young professionals in the field of financial security and emphasizes the Kyrgyz Republic's strong commitment to strengthening international cooperation in the field of financial security.
