Our Backyard Biodiversity Program Is Back

Registrations are now open for our Backyard Biodiversity program.

Starting from Wednesday 1 May, this free course gives you the tools to make your backyard, courtyard or balcony more wild-life friendly. As part of the course, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Attend workshops: over 4 weeks, participants will be invited to attend in-person workshops, garden tours and visit an indigenous nursery.
  • Gain advice from a landscape designer: this includes an optional visit to your home. Our landscape architect can assess your garden by looking at:

    - plantings and plant species

    - layout and design

    - landscaping features such as seats and logs.

  • Take home a free voucher: this can be used to purchase native plants and help kick-start your habitat gardening journey.

For up-to-date information about the Backyard Biodiversity workshops and how they'll be delivered, visit our Backyard Biodiversity project page.

The course is open to all Boroondara residents and will run for 4 weeks from Wednesday 1 May. We also run an online version of this course in spring.

Registrations close on Sunday 21 April unless booked out prior.
