Parkes Shire Council is pleased to announce the successful launch of a free grant finding platform on its website, in collaboration with grant search engine, GrantGuru. More than 20 community groups recently attended information drop-in sessions hosted by Council's grants team, to learn more about the platform.

Cr Bill Jayet said the platform is a wonderful initiative that will benefit all local community groups and businesses by allowing them to embrace opportunities they may not have otherwise.

"The grant finding platform can empower community groups and businesses in the Parkes Shire by helping them turn their ideas into reality through a free and easy to use website. The outpouring of community support since its launch emphasises the significant need for this resource," said Cr Jayet.

"GrantGuru simplifies the process of finding a grant through features such as filtering grants by location, industry, and type of project, or by creating a list of favourites to receive email updates when relevant funding programs arise," he added.

Anne Norton, Project Sprouts Coordinator, attended the community information session and expressed her support towards the initiative.

"It is wonderful of Council to offer GrantGuru to community members for free and we appreciate all the assistance that has been offered," said Ms Norton.
