Peabody College Welcomes New Faculty 31 October

Vanderbilt Peabody College of education and human development welcomed seven new faculty members this fall. They join the Departments of Human and Organizational Development; Leadership, Policy and Organizations; and Psychology and Human Development.

Salvatore Falletta

Professor of the Practice, Human and Organizational Development and Leadership, Policy, and Organizations

Falletta is a social, behavioral and organizational scientist whose work resides at the intersection of education, psychology and business. He has held executive and senior HR leadership roles in several prominent organizations.

Warren Lowell

Assistant Professor, Human and Organizational Development

Lowell is an urban sociologist, population scientist and public policy scholar whose work focuses on housing, internal migration and child well-being. He has collaborated with local governments and organizations to help improve their social programs.

Amy Owen

Lecturer, Leadership, Policy, and Organizations, Executive Director of the Tennessee Education Research Alliance

Owen possesses more than a decade of experience in Tennessee state government, including senior leadership roles at the Department of Education and the State Board of Education. Her work has shaped key education policies.

Michelle Perdomo

Lecturer, Psychology and Human Development

Perdomo's research focuses on the role of individualized language experience on sentence processing. She joined Vanderbilt as a postdoctoral scholar and then served as a language teaching specialist and co-curriculum coordinator at the Vanderbilt English Language Center.

Douglas Ribeiro

Associate Professor of the Practice, Human Development Counseling and Human and Organizational Development

With over a decade of experience in counselor education, clinical training and behavioral health workforce development, Ribeiro previously chaired Lipscomb University's Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Family Science.

Jonathan Seiden

Assistant Professor, Leadership, Policy, and Organizations

Seiden has worked for various international NGOs and intergovernmental organizations. He studies how to improve the tests and tools used to study early childhood policy and works on measures of early childhood development, early learning, and the quality of early childhood care.

Tori Young

Assistant Professor of the Practice, Human and Organizational Development

Young is an expert in mental health therapy for children and families affected by abuse and trauma. She has served as a mental health therapist for 11 years, most recently as a lead clinical therapist and outreach specialist.
