Pedestrian critically injured after being hit by car - Campsie

Police are investigating after two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle in Western Sydney yesterday afternoon.

About 4pm yesterday (Wednesday 13 April 2022), emergency services were called to Beamish Street, Campsie, after reports two elderly pedestrians had been struck by a Toyota Prado.

An 83-year-old woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

An 85-year-old man was also treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Hospital in a stable condition.

The driver of the Toyota, a 42-year-old woman, was uninjured. She was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a negative result.

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
