Hyundai Hope On Wheels has awarded a $400,000 2025 Scholar Hope Grant to Giselle Sholler, division chief of pediatric hematology-oncology at Penn State Health Children's Hospital, to support her pioneering work in pediatric cancer research.
The grant presentation took place on Sept. 24 at the hospital, where leaders from Penn State Health joined Hyundai representatives, patients and families for a program highlighting the importance of continued investment in childhood cancer research. A local family affected by pediatric cancer shared their story, underscoring the real-life impact of research advancements.
Following the remarks and check presentation, young patients dipped their hands in paint and pressed their colorful handprints onto a white Hyundai vehicle in the signature Handprint Ceremony - a nationwide tradition symbolizing hope, resilience and unity in the fight against childhood cancer.
